Engaging Stories

Engaging Stories teens sit on the sand facing the sea during a sunrise gathering.

Engaging Stories invites Latino teens to encounter Christ through the stories of others and to discover how God is calling them to respond.

Through service, Scripture, theological reflection, prayer, community, and accompaniment, young people move beyond simply doing service to understanding why their faith calls them to serve, seek justice, and walk in solidarity.

Each experience creates space for teens to connect what they encounter in the world with Scripture, Catholic social teaching, their own stories, and the mission of the Church.

Young people serve alongside their peers, pastoral leaders, and young adult mentors who help them reflect and recognize God's presence in the people they meet.

The program creates opportunities to participate, lead, reflect, share their voices, and accompany one another.

At the social and pastoral peripheries, participants discover that every person must be seen through the lens of human dignity and the Gospel, and that these places also offer encounters with Christ and stories that transform.
